Stronger Together is a traditionally pieced quilt pattern.  I wanted to design a quilt that was inspired by this world-wide pandemic that we are all going through.  The quilt represents the beauty and strength of people coming together!  Just like a quilt made up of little individual pieces of fabric that are unfinished and can fray and tear on their own, when you sew them all together in a quilt, piece the top, layer the batting and backing, then quilt and bind it - the strength can carry and comfort so many!  It is designed that each square is isolated from the other, just as we are in social distancing.  Through the use of a variety of shades or colors around the center fussy cut blocks - we are representing the many different people, nationalities and countries affected around the world!  However - through this separation, we are all joined together and connected (through the "X" frames).  I hope this pattern brings you peace and love as you sew it together.  Expressing our hope for humanity through fabric!  Quilt finishes at 50" x 50".

  • What others are saying..

"I came across Modern Rag Doll on Facebook and I was glad I was curious enough to check it out.  I am not a beginner doll maker, I think I can say I am an advancer doll maker.  I have been a dollmaker since my children were young, but still have not fully walked that path yet, I guess maybe fear, or scared to put myself out there.  However, you, your site and your constant uplifting for us to be inspired by our own creativity, have inspired me to be more creative and continue my passion of a dollmaker.

Believing that small steps and dreams can continue as long there is inspiration, uplifting and a community to hold each other and learn from each other.

Thank you for your constant inspirations, willingness to teach all of us."
